Welcome!

Saint Mary Religious Education Classes K-6 will begin in September 17, 2023.

 We will be returning to our typical program filled with active learning and focuses on how God is a part of our daily lives.  Throughout the year, your child will learn about many new saints, develop an understanding of the Mass and sacraments, how to say the Rosary, sing songs, create projects, and participate in special celebrations for Holy Days and much, much more, along with working through the Diocese mandated program. 

 As some of you may remember the Diocese has mandated the Religious Education program for us to use title, Christ In Us published by the Sadlier Company.  This program has both a traditional workbook format along with some on-line activities that will allow us to have some variety in presentation of information and activities. This program is a “spiraling” program, which simply means that all classes will be talking about the same concept/topic just at different levels.  This is helpful because it allows us to combine grade levels and still meet the curriculum standards.  We also use the Christ in Us program for the Sacrament Instruction as well.  Children in 2nd grade and older (if not yet received sacrament) will be receiving instruction to prepare them to make their First Reconciliation.  Children in 3rd grade and older (if not yet received the sacrament) will be receiving instruction to prepare them to make their Confirmation and First Communion.

Classes this year that will be held at the Parish House across the street from the Church.  Classes begin at 9:30 and run until 10:45 to allow for time to get to Mass.  Special Sacrament class times will be identified as the time draws near.
